Crispy corn flour murukku with besan flour and roasted gram. Murukku is a classic spiral snack of South India. It is an all time favorite snack of my kids. I have tried different varieties of murukku like Butter Murukku, Ribbon Murukku. Compared store bought snacks, homemade snacks are healthy and tasty snacks.
I started making murukku on weekends to give the This time instead of rice flour I bought 1 kg of corn flour by mistake from supermarket. I just searched for corn flour recipes in google and got this murukku idea. Tried it and you won’t believe it was so delicious. It is very crispy and taste and like butter murukku. Hope you all will like this delicious murukku recipe with corn flour. Please try it out and let me know how it turned out for you. How to make Corn flour Murukku
Ingredients
1 cup of corn flour
1/4 cup of besan
1/4 cup of roasted gram powder
1 spn. of butter
1 spn. of cumin seeds
1 spn. of sesame seeds
1/2 spn. of ajwain seeds
Salt as required
Oil for fry
Method
Step 01
Take a large bowl and add all the ingredients. Add water little by little Knead well to bit tight dough.
Step 02
Heat oil in a kadai.
Step 03
Squeeze the murukku using any shape plate of your wish in the press.
Step 04
Cook it until the murukku floats in oil.
Step 05
Drain in paper towel and allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
