Delicious and spongy whole wheat banana and walnut cake without using oven
Banana walnut cake is very easy to prepare and spongy cake made with whole wheat. Sponge cakes are so easy to make and requires no special ingredients. We can make sponge cakes with carrot, beetroot, dates etc…
In this banana walnut cake I have added yogurt and mashed banana which makes the cake super spongy. You can also use crushed badam,pista or nuts instead of walnuts.
I have already posted some easy to make cake recipes like Easy Carrot Cake,Beetroot cake,Dates cake,Pumpkin cake and Carrot cake with chocolate icing. All these three cakes are made in pressure cooker.

How to make banana walnut cake?
Ingredients
2 cup of whole wheat flour(atta)
2 no of banana (mashed one)
1 cup of crushed walnuts
1 spn. of coco powder
2 no of eggs
2 tbsp. of yogurt
1/2 cup of sugar
¾ cup of oil
1/2 spn. of baking powder
1/2 spn. of baking soda
1 pinch of salt
Method
Step 01
Grind mashed banana with oil,sugar,pinch of salt,yogurt and eggs to smooth paste.Step 03
Take all whole wheat flour,coco powder,baking soda and baking powder in a bowl. Mix well with handsStep 04
Sieve the flour mix twice.Step 05
Add banana mixture and mix well.Step 06
Grind the batter for 2-3 minutes. Finally add crushed walnuts. Mix well with a ladle.Step 07
Grease cake tray with butter or ghee and pour the batter. Leave 2 inch free space. Add some more crushed walnuts on top.Step 08
Take pressure cooker and place a steel bowl inside.Step 09
Place the cake try carefully on the top of that bowlStep 10
Cook for 1 minute in high flame (Do not put whistle while baking cake). Reduce the flame and bake for 50-60 minutes. Insert a toothpick at the center of cake and if it is comes out clean, cake is ready otherwise again cook for 5 more minutes.

Hi, in ur recepie what does ” 3tbsp cup of sugar” means?? Is it just 3tbsp of sugar??

You don’t need any sand or water in the pressure cooker like the traditional way?
