Spinach uthapam – Non spicy
Healthy spinach uthappam recipe with Mint Leaves Chutney
Uthappam is a very popular south Indian breakfast recipe.It is very easy to make and does not require any special ingredients. If you have dosa batter at home, you can prepare uthappam at any time. There will be dosa batter in my refrigerator most of the time .We can’t say that when our kids will get hungry 🙂 . If they are asking for snacks, soon we can prepare uthappam with different toppings like onion,grated carrots and cheese,spinach etc… Here I made this spinach uthappam by mixing the spinach in the batter. You can also put the spinach as topping. I have already posted Uthappam and Oats uthappam. Hope you all will try these recipes too.
Ingredients
2 cup of Dosa batter
3 tbsp. of finely chopped spinach leaves
2 tbsp. of finely chopped onion
1 spn. of finely chopped green chilli
1 spn of butter/ghee (optional)
1/2 spn of oil
Salt as required
Spinach uthappam Preparation Method
Step 01
Heat little oil in a pan.
Step 02
Saute spinach leaves for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 03
Add onion,green chilli,salt and spinach to the batter and mix well.
Step 04
Heat tawa and pour a ladle full of the batter
Step 05
Add ghee around the edges and cook till light golden brown.
Step 05
Flip over and cook for 1-2 minute
Step 06
Serve hot with mint leaves chutney
